Who we are

FIFA WC 2026 Prediction Game (https://myprediction.today) is a free fantasy prediction game for the FIFA World Cup 2026. This policy describes how we handle personal data when you use the site.

Information we collect

  • Account data: email address, display name, password (stored hashed), and optional profile fields (favorite team, timezone, AI Predict preference).
  • Sign-in with Google: if you use Google OAuth, we receive profile and email data from Google according to your Google account settings.
  • Predictions: match predictions, scores, leaderboard statistics, and point booster usage.
  • Technical data: session cookies, CSRF tokens, and a timezone cookie so kickoff times display in your local zone.
  • Email: if email verification or password reset is enabled, we send messages via our email provider (e.g. SendGrid).

How we use information

  • Operate the game: authentication, predictions, scoring, and leaderboards.
  • Optional AI Predict: if you enable it on your profile, the system may auto-submit predictions before kickoff using heuristics and, when configured, the Google Gemini API with match and profile context (favorite team, recent style). See About for details.
  • Send account-related email (verification, password reset) when email is configured.
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal data.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential cookies: login session, CSRF protection, and optional timezone preference (django_timezone).
  • Google Sign-In: Google may set cookies when you authenticate via OAuth.
  • Advertising cookies (if enabled): if we enable Google AdSense, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and personalize ads, measure performance, and limit repeat ads. You can learn more at Google Advertising Policies and manage ad personalization in Google Ad Settings.

Where required by law (for example in the EU/UK), we will ask for consent before non-essential or advertising cookies.

Third-party services

  • Google Sign-In — authentication (Google Privacy Policy).
  • SendGrid / SMTP — transactional email.
  • Google Gemini — optional AI Predict answers when enabled by you and by site administrators.
  • Google AdSense — optional display advertising when enabled on the site. AdSense may collect usage data and cookies as described above.
  • Hosting — application and database hosting (e.g. Railway, PostgreSQL).

Retention and security

We keep account and prediction data for the duration of the tournament service and a reasonable period afterward unless you ask for deletion or we must retain data for legal reasons. Passwords are hashed. Production traffic uses HTTPS.

Your choices

  • Update profile and AI Predict settings in your account.
  • Request account deletion or data questions via contact@myprediction.today.
  • Use browser settings to block cookies (essential site features may not work).
  • Opt out of personalized Google ads via Google Ad Settings.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
